Markus Lupfer SS15
Markus Lupfer brought the beach to Fashion Week with a creative set decorated with a vintage VW van, surfboards and a tiki hut bar. Transforming his throng of models into honorary surfer chicks, the collection exuded a young, playful vibe centred on an array of bright colours, metallic prints and rich materials. Covering daywear with oversized textured coats and coordinating brocade jackets and city shorts, jacquard designs held a strong presence in bold yet feminine patterns. Employing this season’s trend for metallic accents, an abundance of lustrous mini dresses, asymmetric skirts and retro crop tops proved the collection also had plenty on offer for the party girl; an eye-catching highlight being the revitalised ‘90s favourite - bejewelled jelly sandals. Fun and youthful, this spectrum of iridescent fabrics and neon hues created a riot of colour set to take on even the dullest of summer days.
