Matthew Williamson SS15
David Bailey's book, Chasing Rainbows, was the starting point for Matthew Williamson's Spring/Summer 2015 show. Exuding the carefree attitude of a long, hot summer, this was a collection made for lounging by the pool at Chateau Marmont, although it could just as easily look at home in the boardroom or a bustling bar, such was its adaptability. With its high-waisted, wide-leg trouser suits, printed shirt dresses, backless halters and jacket-and-hotpants combos, the silhouette was Seventies all the way while the rich palette of burgundy and lush green was punched up with accents of flamingo pink and aquamarine. Sexy blouses and slip dresses were embellished with beading, embroidery and appliqué flowers but for evening it was all about Williamson's signature maxi dresses splashed in tropical palm and hibiscus prints.
Who we saw: Poppy Delevingne and Olivia Palermo
What they wore: Knitted top, feather pencil skirt and red clutch for Poppy and a printed jacquard jacket and skirt for Olivia
In a nutshell: Hot days, hotter nights
