Oscar de la Renta SS15
"Oscar's SS15 show was one of his best to date. It was spot on for what we want to see - stunning evening gowns, chic daywear, and beautiful cocktail dresses."
Helen David, Harrods Fashion Director of Womenswear
Life was coming up roses (and carnations and hydrangeas) at Oscar de la Renta, where the designer unveiled his spring line-up amidst bunches of fragrant blooms. The floral theme continued onto the collection with colourful blossoms embroidered onto fit-and-flare numbers, shorn into pastel-hued mink jackets and even the house's signature rose stamped onto black and white frocks and fashioned into heavy gold pins fastened to the lapels of jackets. Intricate black and white lace on flouncy skirts recalled the designer's years in Madrid, where he assisted another iconic designer, Cristobal Balenciaga, while a series of checked coats and dresses looked straight out of the Sixties, although flat sandals and brogues brought them bang up to date. Formal wear, Oscar's forte, consisted of feathered minidresses and columns, while voluminous hooped numbers, both short and long are sure to add drama to any red carpet.
