Rag & Bone SS15
To celebrate Rag & Bone's new time slot on the New York Fashion Week schedule, designers Marcus Wainwright and David Neville threw a pre-show bash, complete with a well-stocked drinks bar and snacks including popcorn and ice cream - all served right in a parking lot just off of Times Square. Once seated, the audience was treated to a collection rooted in utilitarianism (already shaping up to be a big trend for SS15), with canvas straps dangling from sleeveless jackets, breezy dresses and even tiny hot pants like military-style fringing. Parkas came baggy and long and layered over ankle-grazing dresses or louche trousers in a pared-back palette of black and white. The highlight of the collection was a line-up of tunics and waistcoats in the deepest indigo denim.
Who we saw: Jenna Lyons.
What they wore: A Breton top and boxfresh white trainers.
In a nutshell: Utilitarian goes mainstream.
