Roberto Cavalli Spring Summer 2015 Milan Fashion Week

Roberto Cavalli SS15

SS15

Pleated gowns of all necklines and prints and paillette covered mini dresses made for a perfect Cavalli show.

Helen David, Harrods Fashion Director of Womenswear

For SS15 the Roberto Cavalli woman is escaping to the coast with her holiday wardrobe essentials: several maxi-dresses, a dash of denim, cut-away minis and lashings of leopard. Helen David, Harrods Fashion Director of Womenswear said: "Pleated gowns of all necklines and prints and paillette covered mini dresses made for a perfect Cavalli show.  Strong summer whites, particularly a long sleeved lace inset gown that could be worn for a beach wedding, were romantic and sexy. There were definitely enough party looks here to be shared among all of us."

There was a touch of Seventies bohemia in Cavalli's line-up, with pleated floor-length dresses adorned with fringed tassels, platform wedges and guipure lace blouses teamed with shredded denim. Dresses long and short played peek-a-boo with alternating stripes of multi-coloured jaquard and sheer tulle circling them. Luxe skins like glossy crocodile (check out the chocolate brown skirt suit) or high-shine python took centre stage while ocelot leopard prints received  the glitzy treatment when mixed with sequin beading, flashes of silver leather or cobalt blue lace.

Who we saw: Heidi Klum

What they wore: A printed blouse and matching tailored trousers

In a nutshell: It's going to be a wild summer
