The Whistles woman is set to look sleek next season, the Whistles man too for that matter. The brand’s Fashion Week presentation took place in an entrance tunnel to King’s Cross tube station with pieces from the new men’s collection interspersed between the mainline looks. Sport and streetwear influences abounded; easy shapes were showcased in a subtle palette of black, ivory, pale grey and bluebell. Culotte jumpsuits, cut-out dresses and one-shoulder slips were the prevalent silhouettes while muted palm and fading floral prints provided effortless beach options. New textures - raffia frays inspired by sun-dried palm leaves and layered laser-cut leathers - brought sophisticated dimension while each look came complete with a destined-to-be-a-sell-out pair of wide-strap espadrilles.
