"As always, Rousteing's show was a theatrical display of how powerful, sexy women should dress."

The lowdown: Count on Olivier Rousteing to bring sexy back, no matter what other trends are on the season's agenda. With his much-Instagrammed Balmain Army (this season it included Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid, Joan Smalls, Lily Donaldson, Lindsey Wixson, Doutzen Kroes, Lily Aldridge, Isabeli Fontana and Jourdan Dunn in all their high-ponytail glory), the designer put the hourglass figure firmly back en vogue with his line-up of cinched, bodycon dresses, pencil skirts and figure-hugging tops. Beaded dresses were jaw-dropping in their latticed craftsmanship, appearing in shades of bronze, emerald and sand with tribal accents. The structure of the garments was offset by ultra-feminine ruffles, which took over butter-soft suede or chiffon curvy skirts, asymmetric tops and even trousers for a voluminous, slightly Seventies look. Despite all the glam, there was an earthy quality to the parade thanks to crocheted fabrics and safari tones.

"As always, Rousteing's show was a theatrical display of how powerful, sexy women should dress. This season she’s moved on from her beloved black, and is now into beige! Ruffles, more ruffles, bodycon knits, and wide belt-cinched waists resulted in a bouncy, confident and über sexy start to the week," said Helen David, Harrods Fashion Director of Womenswear, Women's Shoes, Accessories, Fine Jewellery, and Childrenswear, of the show.
