With a duo of new creative directors at the helm – childhood friends Alexis Martial and Adrien Caillaudaud – SS16 maintained the insouciant Parisian chic at the heart of the Carven brand. Inspired by city girls by the sea, the collection had a nautical slant in a fresh palette of blue and white interspersed with pops of red and tangerine. The classic Carven silhouette prevailed, with A-line skirts and cinched-waist dresses ensuring feminine charm and tailored separates injected with boyish appeal courtesy of billowing blouses tucked in at the waist.
