Paul Smith SS16
The lowdown: Paul Smith’s Spring/Summer 2016 collection was a veritable feast of colour blocking, print clashing and relaxed, comfortable style that remained, as with all Paul Smith’s ranges, considered. With a palette of sunflower yellow, dark teal, cobalt, camel, red and grey, loose-fitting dresses made their way down the runway, along with oversized suits, culottes and cross-front dungarees, with many looks tied at the waist with a leather cord for an effortless, thrown-on feel. The accordion-like handbags – think multicoloured bellows – were handheld, clutched and held under the arm, while flatforms were the shoe du jour and will most definitely be making an appearance next summer.
Who we saw: Vogue’s International Editor-at-Large, Hamish Bowles
What they wore: An aquatic printed shirt
