The lowdown: If there was a notable lack of the usual supermodel power on the Milan Fashion Week runways, leave it to Versace to sort it out. As the house that practically founded the careers of Linda, Cindy, Christy and Naomi, it relies on strong runway personalities to bring its gutsy collections to life. This season, the line-up included Mariacarla Boscono, Natasha Poly, Raquel Zimmermann, Lexi Boling, Gigi Hadid, Edie Campbell, Joan Smalls and Liya Kebede, to name a few. The clothes were as powerful as ever, from the shrunken army fatigues (khaki jackets belted over micro minis, safari vests teamed with matching hot pants, camouflage mini dresses with utility strap shoulders) to the multi-hued animal print leather jackets and harem pants. Where things got business-like with pinstripe suiting, it still came the Versace way - slit to the thigh, cut-out on the bodice and belted tightly.
Who we saw: Gigi Hadid on the runway
What they wore: A slashed, sequined micro mini dress and power platforms
