Mulberry Announces New Creative Director
In news long-awaited by the fashion press, Mulberry has announced Johnny Coca as its new Creative Director. Coca certainly has solid credentials in the world of leather goods - at Céline, he was responsible for some of the most covetable bags and accessories of recent years. Reporting directly to chairman Godfrey Davis, Coca will be responsible for all of Mulberry’s collections from July 8, 2015.
After roles at Bally and Louis Vuitton, Seville-born Coca was most recently Accessories Design Director at Céline. Well prepared for the high-profile role at British fashion house, Mulberry, Coca was formerly a student of art, architecture and design at the École des Beaux-Arts and École Boulle in Paris, and has tutored at Central Saint Martins.
Famed for its sought-after designs, the Somerset-based brand’s most recent endeavour has been its high-profile collaboration with Cara Delevingne on the desirable Cara bag.
