Victoria Beckham Wins Big At The British Fashion Awards
Wearing a backless cashmere jumper and a sweeping monochrome skirt, Victoria Beckham accepted her British Fashion Award for Brand of the Year before a star-studded audience that included her husband, David Beckham, Rihanna, Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Kylie Minogue, Alexa Chung, Kendall Jenner, Harry Styles and fellow designers, Christopher Kane and Christopher Bailey.
In her teary acceptance speech, the designer thanked her family and team and gave a shout out to ex-band members Mel B and Geri Halliwell, saying, “We’ve come a long way since that Spice Girls dressing room.”
Other big winners included Alexander McQueen's Sarah Burton for Red Carpet Designer of the Year, Louis Vuitton's Nicolas Ghesquière, who picked up dual gongs for International Designer of Year and Campaign of the Year, and American Vogue Editor Anna Wintour, who was honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award by her close friend, designer John Galliano.
Representing Britain's bright young things were actress Emma Watson, who received the People's Choice award for style from last year's winner, Harry Styles and Cara Delevingne, who was awarded her Model of the Year accolade by big sister Poppy.
The glittering ceremony concluded with another red carpet favourite, Erdem Moralioğlu, winning Womenswear Designer of the Year.
