Sophia Webster Wins The BFC/Vogue Designer Fashion Fund 2016

Sophia Webster has been announced the recipient of the BFC/Vogue Designer Fashion Fund 2016.

Selected by the Fund Judging Committee – chaired by Alexandra Shulman OBE, Editor of British Vogue, and including an array of industry experts, from Samantha Cameron to Victoria Beckham – the London-based shoe designer fought off stiff competition from her four fellow nominees, Emilia Wickstead, Mother of Pearl, Osman and Prism, to win the prestigious prize, which includes a 12-month mentoring programme and a £200,000 grant to provide the necessary infrastructure to take the brand to the next stage in the business.

"Sophia Webster is a great winner for this year's award," said Alexandra Shulman. "The brand encapsulates all the originality and creativity that British fashion is known for while Sophia and her team have pursued a clear vision with drive and professionalism."

With previous winners including Erdem and Mary Katrantzou, we can't wait to see what plans the Sophia Webster brand has in store.
