The Vogue Festival 2016
This spring, The Vogue Festival returns with an even more stellar line-up of activities and speakers in honour of the iconic magazine’s centenary – and Harrods will be sponsoring the fashion-packed event for the third year in a row.
Taking place over the weekend of the 21st and 22nd of May on the East Albert Lawn in Kensington Gardens and the Royal Geographic Society opposite, the festival promises to be bigger and better than ever. “This is an exceptional year for British Vogue and we are planning a wonderful festival to celebrate our 100 years,” revealed Alexandra Shulman, Editor-in-Chief of British Vogue. “Harrods is helping us to create a two-day event unlike any other allowing the general public access to the talents and expertise of the world of Vogue.”
The event will once again offer attendees the chance to hear from some of the world’s top designers, photographers, models, writers and influencers, partake in workshops, masterclasses and tutorials and shop from a range of limited-edition pieces hand-picked by the Vogue team.
Speakers at this year's event include Derek Blasberg, Edie Campbell, Alexa Chung, Grace Coddington, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, Christopher Kane, Kim Kardashian West, Lulu Kennedy, Isabel Marant, Suzy Menkes, Alessandro Michele, Charlotte Tilbury, Lauren Santo Domingo, and many more.
A new addition to the festival, supertutorials will be led by some of the industry’s most successful hair stylists and make-up artists, including Val Garland, Hannah Martin, Sam McKnight, George Northwood and Josh Wood.
Helen David, Harrods Fashion Director of Womenswear, Women's Shoes, Accessories, Fine Jewellery, and Childrenswear, said: “The Vogue Festival has become one of the most eagerly-anticipated weekends on our fashion calendar. Harrods has been synonymous with fashion for over 120 years and is home to the world’s leading brands. We look forward to bringing elements of our luxury department store to life during what promises to be an engaging, innovative and inspiring weekend."
