Bottega Veneta, as per, can do no wrong in the genre – with its oversized silhouette the cream of the crop. Nanushka, meanwhile, revises the staple for AW20 in delicious faux leather for a hit of sophistication.

Maintaining snug-as-bug status amid the chill is a (teddy bear’s) picnic thanks to AW20’s textural treats – a pleasingly tactile platter that spans from Loewe (pictured) shearling to cuddlesome looks care of Max Mara and Stand Studio, new to Harrods this season. Cue the cosy!

Bringing new meaning to ‘wrapping up’ for autumn, the wrap coat is this season’s most flattering outerwear proposition, bar none. Belted at the waist to create an hourglass silhouette, the style is the sleek antithesis to AW20’s bulkier offerings. Vive la différence.
