Fish and chips are an enduring staple of British cuisine. For young and old alike, the familiar flavours and aromas offer comfort, satisfaction and nostalgia. Now, the nation’s favourite dish is being elevated to new heights in a way only Harrods could offer, via celebrated chef Tom Kerridge and his newest restaurant in the Dining Hall: Kerridge’s Fish & Chips.
Discover a menu created by the Michelin-starred chef whereby diners can tuck into Britain’s finest, freshest seafood, all ethically caught and hand-selected by local fishmongers. From the succulent daily catch to hand-dived scallops and native lobster, there’s a variety of grilled and deep-fried options that will have you salivating – not to mention Chef Tom’s famous crisp and light gluten-free batter.
The triple-cooked chips, meticulously made over a two-day process, arrive at your table piping hot, golden, and shimmering with sea salt. Choose to pair yours with caviar and crème fraiche, lobster thermidor, or homemade Matson curry sauce and cheese in a nod to Kerridge’s local chip shop around the corner from where he grew up. There’s also deep-fried cockle popcorn reminiscent of the seaside favourite and perfect for dipping, and a vegan samosa created with friend and fellow chef Sat Bains.
And you’ll definitely want to make room for dessert; a dense, flourless chocolate almond cake with salted caramel and vanilla chantilly, and elderflower syllabub with a summer-fruit compote and gingernut biscuits are on the menu. We guarantee neither will be on your plate for long.
