Jessica McCormack

New Zealand-born designer Jessica McCormack launched her eponymous brand in 2008 with a mission to fuse heirloom design and contemporary style. “My upbringing has had a huge influence on my design approach,” she says. “As an auctioneer and art dealer, my father taught me to appreciate arts and antiques at a young age – his work sparked a love of taking something out of its original context and giving it new perspective and life.” Jessica’s designs are also informed by her early career in the jewellery department at Sotheby’s. “I had access to incredible pieces from around the world, including 1920s Cartier, Lalique and even the Crown Jewels. It was inspiring, and made me aware of the level of craftsmanship that is possible in jewellery design.”
