Fornasetti

Italian designer Piero Fornasetti - born in Milan in 1913 - dedicated his life to a pursuit of the arts, through sculpture, painting and engraving. Today, his legacy continues with his son Barnaba Fornasetti at the head of the Fornasetti brand. Creating a visual vocabulary rich in iconography, magical, rule-breaking illustrations influenced by Greek and Roman architecture adorn unique home accessories and ceramics that are handmade to the highest standards. Played out in hundreds of iterations, Piero’s muse, operatic soprano Lina Cavalieri, inspired the artist to constantly reimagine her captivating beauty in puzzle pieces, flanked by flowers, moustached, masked and more; discover her visage, among other striking designs, in the form of elegant vases, decorative plates and vessels for beautifully perfumed, scented candles.
