To receive a badge of an Authentic Trappist Product, a beer has to be brewed within the four walls of a Trappist monastery, under careful supervision of or by the monks themselves. The Koningshoeven Brewery is one of the very few to have received that honour, with the delectable La Trappe Dubbel dark ale being one of its finest, offering an indulgent, sweet and lightly bitter palette.
