Angelo Musa
He’s a Pastry World Champion, Best Craftsman of France and Executive Pastry Chef at the Michelin-starred Hôtel Plaza Athénée in Paris – and now, Angelo Musa has opened a patisserie on the Fourth Floor at Harrods.
Prepare for culinary artistry and pure indulgence in equal measure. The menu – a selection of Musa’s much-loved creations, alongside a few new recipes – invites you to discover the finest patisserie France has to offer, through the eyes of one of its most esteemed chefs.
Our recommendation? Start with the signature 100% Vanille. Highlighting a single flavour through four layers of sponge cake, croustillant duja, crémeux and mousse, it perfectly represents Musa’s style of accentuating the richness of ingredients through expertly executed textures.
Equally enticing is Musa’s winning dessert for the World Pastry Cup. Named Papilio (meaning a family of butterflies in French), it marries chocolate sponge, mousse and cremeux with coconut, passion fruit and mango caramel and a dark-chocolate glaze, for a patisserie that tastes every bit as decadent as it sounds.
These join the likes of a sinfully creamy hazelnut Paris-Brest, a beautiful strawberry and mint tartlet, a grapefruit-perfumed vanilla mille-feuille and more, as well as a selection of savoury options – all to be enjoyed in bright, elegant surroundings with your choice of fine tea, coffee, juice, wine or cocktail.
