Charles Heidsieck

Charles Heidsieck
Legendary wine merchant Charles Heidsieck – known as Champagne Charlie – is undoubtedly one of the Champagne region's most celebrated ambassadors. He established his eponymous Champagne house in 1851 and became a prominent figure in American high society, travelling extensively to sell his wines to aristocrats and European royalty. The embodiment of French glamour, Charles was a dashing, smooth-talking gentleman admired for his distinguished charm and knack for business. Today, Charles Heidsieck is a leading producer of both vintage and non-vintage cuvées, reflecting its founder's personality: elegant, emblematic and unique. Aged in Cathedral-like chalk cellars under Reims, the award-winning Champagnes are recognised by industry experts as top of their class and have won many accolades, including Sparkling Winemaker of the Year fifteen times at the International Wine Challenge.
