Girard Perregaux

Girard-Perregaux
Girard-Perregaux was founded in 1856 – a union of founder Constant’s and his wife Marie’s family names – but its origins date back to 1791, when Jean-François Bautte was crafting his first timepieces in a Geneva workshop. A skilled goldsmith and watchmaker, Bautte became renowned for creating some of the slimmest watch cases in the world – so revolutionary at the time that they garnered the future Queen Victoria’s attention. Girard-Perregaux acquired Bautte’s workshop in 1906 and has represented a perpetual commitment to craftsmanship and perfection ever since. The pioneering brand is at the forefront of innovation, holding over 100 patents, and performs the assembly, movement and decoration of each watch by hand. Complications including the three gold bridges – a Girard-Perregaux icon – define what it is to be haute horlogerie.

Descend the staircase in Fine Watches and, on the Lower Ground Floor, you’ll discover a watch-collector’s sanctuary. Girard-Perregaux’s space boasts private rooms and is situated next to the in-house workshop, should you wish to personalise your purchase. Need advice? Our in-store experts are here to help.
