In The Spotlight… Hair Rituel By Sisley
This is haircare, but not as you know it. Designed as 'skincare for your hair', new brand Hair Rituel by Sisley introduces six products targeted at scalp and hair health, fighting against aggressors that damage hair, just as they damage skin. We spoke to Sisley’s Scientific Director, José Ginestar, to understand more about the collection.
On the Hair Rituel ethos… "The hair is comprised of two parts: the hair bulb – the living part, situated at dermis level – and the hair fibre, the visible part, which is greatly exposed to environmental damage. Hair Rituel by Sisley is revolutionary, as it’s designed to stimulate the scalp, where the hair grows, while also restructuring the hair fibre. It’s an all-encompassing, global action."
On the importance of the scalp… "The Regenerating Hair Care Mask is one-of-a-kind, as it’s a scalp mask but can also be used to nourish the hair fibre. Non-greasy and weightless, it needs just 10 minutes for the renewal process to work. Moreover, massaging the mask (and shampoo and serum) into the epicranial muscle that sits underneath the scalp will help drain excess fluid from your face and, in turn, lift the complexion."
On the hero product… "The hero product is the Revitalizing Fortifying Serum; it helps to keep the hair anchored, making the hair more resistant with a high concentration of minerals, vitamins and proteins, such as pro-vitamin B5, magnesium, zinc and rice proteins. These repair the hair follicle, stimulating hair growth and improving density. It can be used on dry or wet hair, and is best applied after washing, every two days for a month, followed by twice a week for two months for optimum results."
