Picture walking into the library of a grand house, filled with floor-to-ceiling leather-bound books and their age-stained pages, and the fresh, sweet scent of roses wafting through the windows from the immaculately groomed garden. Rosa Ekaterina by Moresque is that scene, bottled. Inspired by Russian Empress Catherine The Great and her love of old books and roses, the exclusive fragrance is as musky as it is floral, with a touch of warmth from cinnamon and vanilla to welcome autumn.

In The Spotlight… Fabian Lliguin, Co-Founder of Rahua
It was while visiting the Amazon rainforest in 1993 as an environmentalist, educating indigenous people about their land and human rights, that Fabian Lliguan discovered rahua oil. As a hair stylist with a salon on New York’s Fifth Avenue, Fabian noticed the long, lustrous, strong hair of the indigenous women. When they shared that their secret was oil from the rahua nut, he and his wife Anna saw an opportunity to develop a brand where raw ingredients can be sourced directly from the Amazon, helping to sustain the forest and build local economies. Rahua by Amazon Beauty was founded in 2008.
On the raw ingredients… "Rahua oil is rich in omega-9 nutrients and has an extraordinarily small molecular structure, which allows it to penetrate the hair’s cortex, bonding and repairing it from the inside. Sacha inchi oil, rich in omega-3, and morete oil, which has more beta carotene than carrot oil – and an estimated SPF 35 – are also sourced from the Amazon."
On the harvest… "Rahua oil is extracted today in the same way it has been for centuries, through ceremonial, hand-harvested practices. The women of the Quechua-Shuar Amazonian tribes are in charge of the month-long process, which involves roasting the nuts over a low fire and crushing the nuts to obtain the oil at a specific humidity level."
On the hero product… "The Rahua Classic Shampoo and Classic Conditioner have become cult favourites – the natural antioxidant properties mean it’s healing for any damage, and helps to maintain healthy hair and a healthy scalp."
