Destination Party Style

Celebrating party style, the world over, from the United States to Australia, Singapore to the Middle East, Patricia Otegwu (Patricia Bright), Zanita Whittington (Zanita.com), Melissa Koh (MelissaCKoh.com), Vanessa Hong (The Haute Pursuit), Meric Kucuk (Maritsa.co), Fashion Director Anya Ziourova, and Adam Gallagher (I Am Galla), come together in the ultimate global gathering hosted exclusively with Harrods.

Each super-cool influencer showcased their day look and a party look, sharing a snapshot of their lives in style…

  • Anya Ziourova, Fashion Director, Conde Nast

"I would say my personal style is effortless, easy and modern. During Fashion Month I always pack my Balenciaga biker jacket and Frame jeans. For evening make-up, a smoky eye is my go-to. It’s usually one or the other - a strong lip or a statement eye. It’s more modern when just one is accentuated."

  • "My style rule is to not overthink it. Just go with your instinct as that’s normally what’s right for you."
  • Zanita Whittington of Zanita.com

"I love the Chloé Drew it’s just so practical. For shoes – a good clean white sneaker is a must. I can wear it with a cocktail dress, a maxi dress, jeans, whatever. For party make-up, typically I would go with a bold lip like a red. TOM FORD lipsticks are the best, they have real staying power."

  • "I thrive on evolution and trying something new. It’s about finding what works and not trying too hard."
  • Meric Kucuk, Maritsa.co

"My everyday style changes over time; If I have meetings I’ll do cigarette trousers and flats. For my party look, I like the idea of being a little unfinished – not too overdone. If I’m wearing a beautiful dress, I always try to keep the make-up or hair less statement. I love unexpected detail like backless dresses or cut-outs."

  • "I like playing with trends which suit my style. If I love it, I will wear it for years."
  • Melissa Koh, MelissaCKoh.com

"My style overall is pretty feminine. I like dressing simply, but I also like including a few statement pieces in an outfit. For my eveningwear, I like a mixture of loose and tight. I might pick a crop top with a flared trouser or skinny jeans and a flowy top. I love the balance of shapes."

  • "I’m always most adventurous with shoes, they bring everything to an outfit"
  • Patricia Otegwu, PatriciaBright.co.uk

"When it comes to styling, I always say "do you". Wear what you feel most comfortable in, wear what flatters you. Be willing and ready to make style mistakes. You need to do that to work out what works for you and what doesn’t. In my clutch bag kit would always be a red lippy. I do a make-up technique called ‘baking’ where you leave your powder on to set much deeper - it gives a really matte finish."

  • "I like to stick to a more muted palette and then build on it from there, adding pops of brighter hues."
  • Vanessa Hong of TheHautePursuit.com

"My personal style is very minimal, it’s very restrained. I like details; not the ones that scream out at you, but the subtle ones. This could be a great zipper, a great fringe, a hidden pocket. I often like to do separates so a top and bottom than a full dress, something that is fitted and something that is not."

  • "For parties I always have my hair slicked back. I do bare face with a dark lip and a cat eye."
  • Adam Gallagher of IAmGalla.com

"When it comes to parties, I like the classic, more simple approach. I love a sharp suit or a tuxedo if it’s that sort of party, but I also love a good open collar on a shirt like James Bond. If I do opt for a tie it would be very Kennedy-esque. The classics - that’s what I draw my inspiration from."

  • "I believe there aren’t too many rules with style. It really depends on the individual. My advice is be you."
