There was an undone feeling in Antonio Berardi's Spring/Summer 2016 line-up, but in the most glamorous way possible: laddered lace, cobweb mohair knits, trailing ribbons... All added a softness to the designer's signature strict tailoring.
Eveningwear stood out, thanks to its couture workmanship – chiffon gowns came with asymmetric hems and billowing trains, and often were embellished with 3D beads or suspended from crystal harnesses. Suiting was oversized with boxy blazers and was embellished or quilted in metallic thread. In a palette of bruised pastels, the effect was beautiful but not overworked; the perfect balance between soft and hard. Metallic lace-up sandals crafted by Jimmy Choo finished off the looks.
