There’s a certain charm about the South of France that is hard to recreate, however Alice Temperley brought that sense of joie de vivre to familiar faces – think Laura Bailey, Amber Le Bon, Giovanna Battaglia – at Lindley Hall for her Spring/Summer 2018 Temperley London presentation. Looking to the "world of Slim Aarons, his muses and the sense of inherent ease he captured", the designer’s 42-piece 'Temperley Riviera' collection encapsulated a foolproof holiday wardrobe. From '70s-style cotton jumpsuits, kaftans and billowing palazzo pants to decadent evening looks that showcased her signature detailing, crystal embellishments and dazzling sequins, from day to night, each piece bolstered Temperley’s authority in knowing what women want.
With a colour palette of azure blues, topiary greens and dusky shades of pink, looks were teamed with a sun-shimmered beauty look created by Charlotte Tilbury, while accessories came in the form of silk tie headscarves, statement round sunglasses and grosgrain ribbon sandals designed in collaboration with Pedro García. Whether sightseeing or sunbathing, consider your holiday wardrobe sorted.
