With anniversaries aplenty at Milan Fashion Week – Versace and Etro thus far – Angela Missoni's 20 years as Creative Director of family fashion house, Missoni, was certainly a reason to celebrate. That said, with 65 years of the house itself coming up next year, a retrospective collection it was not, with the designer instead opting for party vibes that didn't stop after the collection took its final exit, celebrations going into the night with dinner and dancing.
And in the spirit of party, Missoni made this a truly co-ed affair, for the first time presenting men’s and women’s collections together with a super up-tempo energy. From festival to beach party, pastel to psychedelic, this was a cacophony of celebrations with the signature Missoni patterns splashed in among sequin capes, lithe dresses, lurex leggings, lace playsuits, technicolour knits, and glitzy swimwear.
Opting for fun in the beauty too, graphic, winged liner in mint green, aqua blue or violet added a pop of brilliance to complement the playful and free-spirited side of the season.
