Hervé Léger SS17

Hervé Léger SS17

Ukrainian ballet dancer Sergei Polunin’s extraordinary performance in the music video for Hozier’s Take Me To Church – directed by David LaChapelle – was the starting point from which Hervé Léger Chief Creative Officer, Lubov Azria, developed the bandage-loving brand’s new look for Spring/Summer 2017.

In a ballet-ready palette of powder pink, soft apricot and white strengthened by black, the label’s signature silhouette was softened somewhat by tutu-inspired, ruffled trims, ruching and pleats, with A-line skirts breaking the bodycon mould. While a waffle-knit leotard and a sweatshirt-style top worn with briefs offered up an ode to the ballet dancer’s hours of practice, stiletto sandals with ribbon laces wrapped around long socks proved the SS17 Hervé Léger woman is always en pointe.
