No one does natural glamour better than Michael Kors and this season his troupe of supers (Kendall Jenner, Lindsey Wixson, Binx Walton, Lexi Boling...) were its very definition. With a wet-hair look and 'no make-up' make-up (it was all about the brows), they modelled a combination of feminine and tailored separates in a palette of black, white, electric blue and red.
Ruffled chiffon blouses came above slouchy wide-leg trousers, crisp white shirts were buttoned to the collar and teamed with circle skirts and tailored jackets were belted at the waist to show off the feminine figure. Elsewhere, midi skirts were slashed to reveal some leg, studded with rivets and topped off with low-slung belts.
Meanwhile, eveningwear consisted of a series of poppy-printed chiffon dresses with poet's necklines and black satin sashes cinching them in. New bag shapes for the season included a low-slung satchel that looked just as good worn across the body as it did hanging low on one shoulder, and squashy oversized clutches. And in terms of shoes, the choice was simple: easy slides by day, strappy sandals by night.
