The best way to pep up a tired fashion crowd early in the morning? Make it a show to remember. Michael Kors did just that by bringing in legendary singer Rufus Wainwright to perform a medley of jazz songs live during his Spring/Summer 2017 show, which starred all the top models in the industry, including Lineisy Montero, Laura Love, Lexi Boling, Kendall Jenner, Bella Hadid, Jamie Bochert and Carolyn Murphy, who closed the show.
It was a feast for the ears and they eyes, with Kors' usual hybrid of romance and prep playing out on punchy floral skirts topped with oversized cardigans, crisply tailored shirts and trenches sporting strong shoulders and defined waists, fluid dresses complete with bias-cut ruffles and some seriously covetable swimwear. The palette consisted of neutrals including navy, white and nutmeg livened up with summery aqua, palm, azalea and tangerine hues.
Accessories-wise looks were finished off with chunky towering platform sandals or flatforms and oversized clutch bags or utilitarian satchels.
It takes a lot to impress a room of A-listers that includes Olivia Palermo, Harley Viera-Newton, Miroslava Duma, Chiara Ferragni, Giovanna Engelbert and Derek Blasberg but with his 'Love Is In The Air' collection, Kors had it in the bag.
