Spring/summer is when the Tory Burch woman comes into her own and this season she is going to be spoilt for choice. Inspired by how beauty is enhanced through nature, the designer presented a collection that was steeped in contradictions: neutrals versus brights, natural fabrics versus iridescence and simple shapes versus embellishment.
Case in point, a tasselled linen top teamed with a guipure lace skirt or an embroidered kaftan worn with lace shorts. The result was a highly textured line-up that was as easy to pull off as it was feminine. Shift dresses are Burch's forte and there was no shortage of them here: in jacquard, cotton or lace, with embellished trims or leaf prints, they will certainly please the brand's fans. Accessories included oxidised jewellery, handbags with iridescent edging and shoes boasting sculptural gold heels that were inspired by a slice of natural bark.
