Andrew Gn's Spring/Summer 2016 show was split into two parts – the first, influenced by fresh sea air in holiday destinations such as Biarritz, Deauville, and Brittany, was packed with crisp separates in white, denim blue and black, and the second, inspired by a colourful bowl decorated with flowers and butterflies, which were recreated as embroidery on sundresses and gowns.

Shapes were simple but ultra-feminine, with shift dresses, A-line skirts, pea coats, culottes and poplin tees dressed up with floral appliqués, frill sleeves and ribbon closures. Gowns, too, were at once streamlined and opulent, featuring easy accents such as pockets as well as sweeping lengths and ornate embellishment.

Prior to the start of the show, the audience was informed that the designer would not be coming out for his bow as he was recovering from major heart surgery – the audience cheered extra loud for a well-executed collection.
