The Balmain army was in full force for Olivier Rousteing's Autumn/Winter 2016 unveiling: Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid, Alessandra Ambrosio, Karlie Kloss, Jourdan Dunn, Lily Donaldson and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley were just some of the models to grace the runway. Not that you'd have recognised them - blondes became brunettes and vice versa via some clever hair trickery that kept the audience guessing and camera phones flashing.
It was the collection that had us transfixed in its Versailles-esque opulence, however, with corseted dresses adorned with jewels and plumes, embroidered micro minis, ornately ruffled jumpsuits and lace maxi skirts gliding down the runway.
"Every last look was a hit, with black and nude tones replaced with the softest baby blues, pinks and other ice cream tones," said Helen David, Harrods Chief Merchant, of the line-up. "Light shades seem to be a prevailing trend this autumn/winter, and they didn't get any fairer than here."
