A Spectacular Dior Christmas

The festive season is a time for radiance and revelry, complete with glittering lights and joyous celebrations. At Dior Beauty, colour and luminosity set the tone. The Maison’s Spectacular Holiday Collection 2025 illuminates the season with sophisticated hues of violet and crimson, as well as sparkling finishes that exude glamour and refinement evocative of the magic of the circus.

Monsieur Dior famously admired the grandeur of the circus, drawing inspiration from its dazzling colours and theatrical spirit. “The circus is a never-ending source of inspiration,” said Peter Philips, creative and image director for Dior Makeup. With this collection, he captures the child-like wonder of watching magicians, trapeze artists and tightrope walkers perform, translating it into fantastical eye palettes, blushes, highlighters and lipsticks. Among the collection’s treasures are hero products reimagined for the season: Rouge Dior Sequin Liquid Duo, a multitasking lipstick that doubles as a gloss; Dior Backstage Rosy Glow Blush, now with a sparkling finish; and Dior Forever Glow Maximizer, an ultra-fine highlighter that blends and brightens with sophisticated ease. Looking ahead to the party season, we explore two captivating ways to wear this limited-edition collection. 

A full spectrum of purples makes up this awe-striking look, offering a regal, modern take on festive beauty. “Plums appear deep, rich and mysterious,” says Dior UK Pro Make-up Artist Jamie Coombes, noting that the violet hues complement both warm and cool complexions. Begin with the eyes, where the limited-edition Diorshow 5 Couleurs Eyeshadow Palette in ‘Plum Parade’ sets the tone. From soft lilac to deep aubergine, each shade blends effortlessly, allowing for a buildable intensity that moves from delicate to dramatic. For a statement eye, Coombes recommends layering all five: “Apply the aubergine shade to the outer corners and add eyeliner. Then blend across the lash line and finish with a flick of mascara.” On the cheeks, sweep Dior Backstage Rosy Glow Blush in ‘Starry Mauve’ from the cheekbones to the temples in an upward motion. A touch of Dior Forever Glow Luminizer in ‘Dior Star’ adds a celestial gleam, catching the light with every turn. Finish with a bold yet refined lip courtesy of Rouge Dior Sequin Liquid Duo in ‘Illusionist’ – a plum-toned pairing that delivers depth, shine and a hint of festive sparkle. 

Drawing on the opulence of classic holiday hues, this look channels Dior’s inimitable artistry with fiery reds and a gold-tone finish. Featuring a beautiful medley of warm mauve and vibrant copper, Diorshow Fiery Circus Eyeshadow Palette in ‘Fiery Circus’ illuminates the eyelids with spirited sophistication. “It’s a sparkling celebration, playful and fun,” says Coombes. To sculpt the complexion, sweep on Dior Backstage Rosy Glow Blush in ‘Fiery Red’. Its pH-adaptive formula delivers a bespoke flush that feels as personal as it is radiant. For added luminosity, Coombes used Dior Forever Glow Maximizer in ‘Abracadabradior’, an ultra-fine highlighter that lends an elegant touch of brilliance. Finish with a bold lip in an iconic red: Rouge Dior Sequin Liquid Duo in ‘Glossy Sequin’, a statement-making finish that sparkles with festive confidence.
