How will Harrods maintain hygiene measures in the Boutique?
All surfaces will be wiped with anti-viral disinfectant consistently throughout the day and between customer interactions. Surfaces include counters, vitrines, iPads, piercing rooms, mirrors, and doors. If jewellery is handled by a customer, immediate disinfection of that jewellery with a cold sterilant will be carried out. Opals, Turquoise and Pearls will be soaked in Biosurf disinfectant for a minimum of 90 seconds if handled, in line with industry standards. We will provide hand sanitizer upon arrival for customers. We will closely monitor visitors within the store to maintain regulated social distancing rules and ensure the protection of all customers.
Will Harrods colleagues be required to wear a face covering?
Current government guidance states that Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including medical face masks and gloves, is not recommended in a retail environment. Based on this advice, we will not be making it compulsory for employees to wear face coverings. However, for any colleagues who do wish to wear a face covering, Harrods is providing reusable cotton face coverings on request.
Due to the nature of the service, Maria Tash staff will wear a face visor, gloves, disposable aprons and a mask during all client’s appointments. Facial shields will be cleaned and sanitise between appointments. Employees will also adopt a side-to-side consultation approach using the treatment room mirror when communicating with clients.
Will customers be required to wear a face covering?
In line with government guidance, customers are not required to wear a face covering at Harrods but may do so at their own discretion.
Please note that customers will not be allowed to enter the store wearing latex-based gloves, to protect those with latex allergies.
