As far as big breaks go, Jodie Comer is riding high. In just a couple of years, she has cemented herself as a household name in both the UK and the US, playing the lead role – Villanelle – in BBC America’s Killing Eve. She’s bagged a BAFTA and an Emmy for best actress, has a couple of Hollywood blockbusters in the pipeline, and just scored her first beauty ambassadorship – with skincare newcomer Noble Panacea.
Is Jodie as madly into make-up as the stereotype of Liverpudlian women would have you believe? Well, in her late teens, she developed a love for a good blow-dry, she says, and she can never resist an “Alexa Chung cat-eye”. Now, she’s turned her attention to skincare – and Noble Panacea clearly works wonders. But as we chat more, it appears her beauty routine goes way beyond skincare.
Don’t pick your face. “I have a bad habit of seeing a tiny blemish and picking away it at but you mustn't. No one can see them but you!”
Hydrate. “Drink that water and make sure to moisturise all over.”
Wear SPF. “Whether it’s rain, shine or thunderstorms, always use an SPF. I use a factor 50.”
Put the time in. “It’s one thing my mum has taught me. She really looks after her skin and is all about the all-over body exfoliation and moisturising every time she showers.”
What’s inside counts. “My facialist Jasmina Vico really taught me that your skin reacts to what you put in your body. Of course, you look after it from the outside, but what happens inside determines a lot.”
Open Jodie’s handbag and what will spill out arethe cult buys she returns to time and time again, particularly for her brows. “I always have to gel my own eyebrows – usually MAC clear eyebrow gel Brow Set because my eyebrows have a mind of their own and that stuff sticks. Even if my make-up artist fills them in I will go over them – I think it’s a mental thing, then I know I’m ready for the day.”

IRL Jodie is positively glowing, so her skincare routine is evidently spot on. On her bedside table, you’ll find the Radiant Resilience Moisturizer from The Brilliant Collection but her favourite? The Overnight Recharge Cream. “This is like a drink for your skin while you sleep,” she says. “After I use it, my skin feels so much better when I wake up.”
"I love the Prime Radiance Serum to wear for a work out – you can layer it with the moisturiser but I love to use it on its own, it just works for my skin."
