Recognisable by their 62 facets, modern Ashoka® diamonds – named after Emperor Ashoka the Great of India’s ancient Maurya dynasty – are inspired by a single, flawless gemstone of 41.37 carats. Today, the rare design, reignited by diamond dealer William Goldberg, can be applied to less than two per cent of mined diamonds. Boodles is the only British jeweller to offer Ashoka® diamonds.
