The Review’s Key Trends

By Emma Day 12 April 2012

From pastels to maxis and a trip back to the 1920s, The Review magazine has all the key trends for your Spring/Summer season.

Great Gatsby

Blame Leonardo DiCaprio and Carey Mulligan for the resurgence of this season's drop waists and flapper thrills. Their remake of the F Scott Fitzgerald classic The Great Gatsby means there is only one decade fashion can fall for this season.

Maxi

And the award for the most indestructible trend goes to… the maxi. Still going strong as a spring staple, either in dress or skirt form, this is the perfect laissez faire attire. Follow the Just Cavalli lead and add print for an extra je ne sais quoi.

Pastels

This season is all about colour, and there's nothing more alluring that ice cream shades - think mint, rose and peach. Perfect for fair skins, the pastel movement is one of the most delicate trends of the season - make sure your look remains adequately feminine and light.
