From Tuesday 15th May, Harrods windows will display 31 exclusive crowns designed by the world's leading brands in celebration of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.

Drawing on inspiration from the Queen's Coronation in 1953, the Knightsbridge store's façade will also feature Union Flags and two 50-ft tall regal banners heralding the Queen's Royal Cypher and St. Edwards Crown.

To mark the unveiling of the façade, Harrods employees will fill the pavement outside on the morning of the 16th May to sing God Save the Queen and Land of Hope and Glory, whilst waving British flags.

BALLGOWNS & CROWNS

The one-off crowns gracing Harrods windows are designed by an array of British and International brands - from Paul Smith, Mulberry and Jo Malone to Valentino, Bulgari and De Beers.
In addition, a glamorous gown display, with dresses made by the world's leading international designers including Roberto Cavalli, Valentino and Elie Saab, will be showcased and sold exclusively at Harrods to celebrate the Victoria & Albert Museum's Ballgowns: British Glamour Since 1950s exhibition.
A replica of the Queen's 1953 Coronation satin gown designed by British designer, Norman Hartnell will be showcased alongside the designer gowns, as a tribute to the day the Queen ascended the throne.

It's time to put on your dancing shoes because this month, Harrods is celebrating the most fashionable of footwear.

To kick off this exclusive event on Thursday 15th May Harrods will showcase a regal lace-embroidered stiletto in its Hans Crescent windows, the very shoe selected by the Duchess of Cambridge as the winner of an exclusive design competition last month.

Designed for the Duchess as part of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations, the blue suede and lace creation by De Montfort University student Becka Hunt will be displayed in Harrods' windows alongside five runner-up entries.

Plus, a host of in-store appearances and trunk shows will be taking place from Tod's (4th-6th May), Arfango (18th-20th May), Magnanni (21st-22nd July) and Stemar (1st-4th June). In addition to plenty of limited edition styles from the likes of Rupert Sanderson, with this butterfly printed design -
