ARMAGNAC MASTERCLASS
Wednesday 23rd May, 7.30-8.30pm The Tasting Room
Armagnac is is made in the Southwest of France in the heart of
the Gascony region and is arguably the oldest French spirit, dating
back to the 14th Century. Armagnac expert, Amanda Garnham, will
guide you through a comprehensive tasting of 6 different Armagnacs
hailing from the Armagnac Tenarèze and Bas-Armagnac. This Tasting
is limited to only 15 tickets, offered on a first come first served
basis.

SOUTHERN ITALY & ISLANDS
Tuesday 29th May, 7.00-9.00pm The Wine Shop
The Wine Shop at Harrods is hosting a tour of Southern Italy and
its Islands. During this wine tasting evening, we will show you
everything that Southern Italy has to offer. A hand-selected range
of over 30 wines will be poured for the evening and canapés will be
served to match.

INTRODUCTORY WINE COURSE
Thursday's the 14th June, 21st June and 28th June 7.00-9.00pm
The Tasting Room
An introduction to production techniques, wine styles, wine
regions and food and wine pairing. Develop a basic tasting
technique and knowledge in order to gain confidence when purchasing
wines and ordering from a restaurant menu.
Covered in three two-hour sessions, which include a minimum of
eight wines per session.
Tickets are £150 per person.
CATENA MALBEC MASTERCLASS
Wednesday 20th June, 7.00-8.30pm The Tasting Room
Join us on Wednesday the 20th June for an exciting foray into the
world of Argentine Malbec. The Catena family have been making wine
in Argentina since 1902 and have garnered a reputation for
producing some of the best Malbecs in the worlds. We are pleased to
announce that on the 20th of June Carola de la Fuenta, from Catena,
will be running a Malbec Masterclass in the Tasting Room. This
tasting will comprise of the five single vineyards that make up the
Catena Alta Malbec. This in depth tasting of Catena Alta Malbec and
its components will be followed by a tasting of Catena Adrianna
Single Vineyard, Catena Nicasia Single Vineyard, Catena Malbec
Argentino and the sumptuous Nicolas Catena Zapata.

AN INTRODUCTION TO SAKE
10th July 2012, 7.00-9.00pm, The Tasting
Room
Covering everything sake related - from its origins and
etiquette, to its ingredients and production - this is a unique
opportunity for enthusiasts and the intrigued to further their
understanding of one of the world's most complex and enigmatic
drinks.

GIN TASTING
Thursday 19th July 2012, 7.00-9.00pm, The Wine Shop, LG
During the summer months we are holding a Gin Promotion, whilst Gin
is still a mainstay of the traditional British summer, the world of
gin has moved on and exciting gins are being created all over the
world and made with unusual botanicals. Take advantage of the great
opportunity to taste your way around the world of gin, including
some very special small batch American gins which aren't available
anywhere else in the UK. This range of gins will be available to
taste on the night either straight or with a mixer. A delicious
selection of canapés will be served and there will be a special
offer on the night of an additional 10% off all gins on
taste.

BOLLINGER TASTING
Thursday 26th July, 7.00-8.30pm The Tasting Room
This is a rare opportunity to taste the whole Bollinger range,
including the exceptional Vieille Vignes Française. Bollinger was
established in 1829 by Jacques Bollinger and Paul Renaudin. Over
the years their prime vineyard holdings have steadily increased,
with the largest expansion occurring under the stewardship of the
legendary Madame Lily Bollinger. She ran the company after her
husband's death between 1941 and 1977 and worked tirelessly to
establish the high reputation it enjoys today. Each of the six
cuvées on taste have been expertly matched with canapés, please
mention when booking any dietary requirements.

THE SUMMER WINES & BEERS TASTING
Thursday 16th August 2012, 7.00-9.00pm, The Wine Shop, LG
We have selected our favourite wines for Summer to ensure you
get the most from the sunny days, and lighter evenings. This offer
features delicious beers, fresh and fruity white wines, seasonal
rosés and some juicy reds perfect for the barbeque, making summer
worth savouring with The Wine Shop at Harrods. To celebrate summer
we will be holding a tasting on the 16th August where we will have
all of the selected wines and beers on offer as well as canapés and
experts on hand to answer any questions. To entice you further The
Wine Shop at Harrods will be offering an additional 10% off all
wines on taste for the night.
