
Bringing a taste of gourmet French cuisine and American finesse to
London, Chef Thomas Keller's three Michelin-starred Napa Valley
restaurant was replicated in this one-off pop-up event at
Harrods.
Open for service between Saturday 1st October and Monday 10th
October 2011, this groundbreaking culinary collaboration saw twenty
lunch and dinner seatings, with 1,400 diners experiencing a
nine-course Chef's Tasting Menu.
Under the helm of award-winning chef Thomas Keller and his elite
staff from the Napa Valley restaurant, the exclusive event
faithfully recreated the refined glamour of The French Laundry in
the surroundings of the Georgian Restaurant.
The imaginative set menu included a succession of innovative
tastes, from ignature Oysters & Pearls to razor clams, sweet
corn and celeriac, and Atlantic salmon cornet in a sesame seed
tuile, representing the very best of the French Laundry and
reflecting Keller's favourite ingredients.
