Who doesn’t want to channel genius at work, or at least regular brainwaves? Bremont’s new Supernova Hawking Chronograph is made in collaboration with the family of acclaimed astrophysicist Stephen Hawking. Limited to 600 pieces, it takes inspiration from his pioneering work on black holes, reflected in the ultra-black DLC-treated 904L stainless steel case. On the dial, you’ll find an interlocking galvanic black grid, a reference to spacecraft design, and sub-dials made using genuine meteorite from deep space. Very rarely, a watchmaker designs a timepiece so perfect it hardly needs changing – and becomes an immortal classic. Such a design is Jaeger-LeCoultre’s Reverso. The stunning bloodstone jasper dial features a matching emerald mother-of-pearl seconds counter, and is beautifully framed by a yellow-gold case. Czapek’s Antarctique, the brand’s first integrated bracelet sports watch, was a triumph on its launch in 2020. This new model harnesses the beauty of aventurine, a type of glass previously used on special editions like the Midnight in Geneva and Faubourg de Cracovie. Evoking the starlit sky above Antarctica, it has a smart, modern stainless steel case and is powered by the brand’s SXH5.01 automatic calibre, the first to be entirely designed in-house – crafted by the crème de la crème of Swiss manufacturers.
