The ornate stylised trees and jewel-tone birds – the eponymous *aux oiseaux*– are based on delicate Japanese prints, rendered onto the fine handmade porcelain of this rectangular tray in the same region of Limoges, France, that has been home to the brand since its inception in 1863.
