Harrods Hive Hong Kong

Reinventing Luxury: Youthful Imagination, Creative Worlds, and the Future of Design

On 25th and 26th March 2026, the Harrods Hive made its debut in Hong Kong, extending its global footprint following editions in Shanghai, Beijing, Dubai and Riyadh. Coinciding with Art Basel Hong Kong 2026, the event brought together leading voices in art, fashion and design to explore the theme of ‘Discovery’. The question at hand: how are youth perspectives reshaping the relationship between luxury and cultural identity?

A Cultural Exchange

A highlight of the event was the conversation between artist Michael Lau, fashion stylist and consultant Justine Lee, and actress and artist Lauren Tsai, titled Reinventing Luxury: Youth Imagination, Creative Worlds, and the Future of Design. The panel explored the shift from niche collectable culture to global luxury signifiers, examining the intersection of street culture, visual language and cross-disciplinary collaboration as today’s creators redefine the future of luxury and fashion.

Workshopping a Way Forward

Beyond the panel, guests enjoyed three immersive workshops led by experts across the spheres of culture, art and spatial design. Independent art consultant and auctioneer Elaine C Kwok explored the importance of cultural fusion in the world of luxury heritage. Art critic, curator and writer Dr Shen Qilan and installation artist jujuwang examined the intersection of art and innovation. And Vincent Lim and Elaine Lu – co-founders of Lim + Lu Studio – shared their insights on spatial design and immersive brand storytelling.

At its heart, the Harrods Hive is about bridging ideas and industries. Stay tuned to see where our global networking hub lands next.
