If you’re reading this story, chances are you’re a master of organisation. You’ve noticed – with plenty of pages to spare – that your notebook is nearing completion. Or perhaps you’re calmly and methodically ticking off your Christmas list with elegant stationery gifts. Type A humans, we salute you. And we’re here to help. From 2026 diaries to kickstart your year to luxury stationery and desk accessories perfect for gifting (or your own wishlist), our edit will keep you feeling brilliantly prepared for the season.
As well as increasing productivity and reducing mental clutter, keeping a diary can save you from social faux pas. Aunt Bertha’s birthday, your wedding anniversary, an appointment with your dental hygienist – never miss a date again with this classic A5 design in Harrods green. Inside, high-quality pages offer week-by-week organisation, a contact book and space for notes.
Reformer Pilates at 9am. Brunch with the girls at 1pm. The Wildlife Photograph Exhibition at 2.30pm. Dry-cleaning at 4pm. Charity fundraiser at 7pm. If this sounds like your usual Saturday, you need a diary. Bound in Smythson’s signature leather, this smaller design (just the right size for your Saint Laurent shoulder bag) features gilt-edged Featherweight pages that’ll give you a chic snapshot of your ever-filling social calendar.

The stationery you carry speaks volumes. Step into a meeting with this Harrods writing folder in hand – complete with an A5 notebook, dual pen holders and business card pockets –and make a statement: you’re someone who gets things done. Writing on 120 GSM paper isn’t just an aesthetic choice; it’s a power move.
There’s something uniquely satisfying about putting pen to paper. But if you work digitally, analogue note-taking might not suit your day-to-day. Unless, of course, your Moleskine notebook automatically transfers your words into digital format. Instantly share notes and drawings with colleagues, convert scribbles into (searchable) text, use the app to change the colour and thickness of your pen strokes – all with a clever notebook that recognises the strokes of your Bluetooth pen.
Walk into a boardroom and chances are there’s a Montblanc Meisterstück in attendance. It’s been the pen for 100 years, accessorising desks of heads of state and businesspeople since its debut in 1924. With this edition, the brand pays homage to Phileas Fogg’s famous adventure, drawing on the second leg of his journey from Mumbai to Yokohama. Elegantly weighty, the precious anthracite resin fountain pen features an Indian elephant cartouche on the cap, while the handcrafted 14ct-gold nib is engraved with a hot air balloon.
Favouring a softer, more feminine aesthetic, this rollerball pen introduces a new silhouette for Graf von Faber-Castell. The body – combining a handcrafted hornbeam wood barrel and 18ct-gold cap – presents a modern, floral-inspired interpretation of classic fluting. Naturally, German engineering ensures it glides across the page with ease.
If you’ve purchased a Porada Saffo desk, the last thing you want to do is scratch or mark its walnut surface. Offering protection and a smooth writing surface, this full-grain leather desk mat with faux suede base, finished with Aspinal of London’s signature shield rivet, measures slightly larger than A3, fitting more desks comfortably. Together with the matching pen pot and letter rack, it helps define a neat and tidy workspace.
How often do you put pen to paper? Shopping lists, calendars, even signatures – we live in an increasingly digitalised world. Today’s generations are being raised almost entirely on screens. But, to quote Newton, “for every action, there is an equal and oppositive reaction.”
Ink and paper are making their counter-swing. Since the pandemic, luxury stationery has experienced a revival. The act of writing offers something that screens cannot match: the real, the tangible, the personal. Can digitised lists match the romantic notion of pen to paper? Or the sheer satisfaction of ticking off a job?
What’s more, science tells us handwriting promotes deeper focus and engagement than typing, and it helps us absorb and recall information more effectively.
No wonder, then, that luxury stationery in particular – leather-bound notepads and expertly crafted refillable pens – is finding more admirers, particularly among Gen Z and millennials. ‘Stationery-core’ is filling TikTok and Instagram with posts celebrating the beauty of writing instruments, calligraphy and fine paper. And the global stationery market, growing accordingly, is predicted to reach billions in value by the end of the decade.
Of course, no one is suggesting a full return to analogue. A dream journal can exist alongside a productivity app. But in an era of digital overload, the allure of a blank off-white page can be a welcome escape.
The 2026 diaries are now available in-store, with a smaller selection available online. See your edit above or browse Notebooks & Diaries for the latest updates.
Several brands offer personalisation in-store, ranging from hand-stamping initials or motifs at Smythson to embossing courtesy of Aspinal of London. Visit The Arcade on the Lower Ground Floor for more details.
That entirely depends on your needs. If you work from home, you might opt for a larger A4 (210 x 297mm) size that rarely leaves your desk. The most popular size is A5 (148 x 210mm), which is compact enough to carry around and has ample writing space. A6 (105 x 148mm) diaries are pocket-sized; ideal for quick notes or travel.
Very much so. Between our leather diaries and Toile letter writing sets, there are many gifting options to suit different tastes and ages. Browse the Harrods stationery collection.
Yes! Filtering stationery by brands makes it easier to find full collections. You can do so by selecting the brand you’re interested in on the left-hand panel when browsing stationery. Alternatively, scroll down to the You May Also Like section on product pages to see similar products. Brands that offer full collections include Harrods, Aspinal of London and Ralph Lauren Home.
If your diary, notebook or planner is bound in leather, it can be susceptible to scratches, so try to avoid carrying it in a bag with loose sharp objects such as keys. Direct sunlight can cause fading, so store your diary in a drawer if you work by a sunny window. It’s advisable to wipe covers with a dry cloth to remove dust and, to keep leather supple and looking its best, apply a small amount of leather cream once or twice a year.
