What Sets Harrods’ Exclusive Fragrances Apart?
“At Harrods, we know that we are famous for our exclusive one-of-a-kind products,” shares Valerie Waite, Harrods fragrance buyer. “We often start by working with our brands, usually with an olfactive territory we want to explore together. And then, with their perfumer, we will build on the fragrance from there,” she adds, “the collaboration process is everything you can imagine – from the story and concept to the design and packaging. Each exclusive fragrance is truly special, unique, and authentic to Harrods.”

Amouage Reception Essence
“A scent steeped in artistry and connection, Reception marks the latest chapter in Amouage’s Essence Collection – a true collaboration between the Omani House and Harrods,” says Waite. The scent opens with radiant amber and citrus before unfurling into a heart of fine woods and a soft, musky base enriched with vanilla. Elegant and universal in its appeal, Reception is “a celebration of connection and culture.”
Ex Nihilo Brompton Immortals
“The Brompton Immortals Eau de Parfum has a fabulous story behind it and is arguably our most successful exclusive,” shares Waite. In its new extrait form, the fragrance is intensified, amplifying the contrast between English tradition and ingredients from afar, blending saffron and pink pepper with velvety Bulgarian rose and a deep, enveloping amber base. Rich, radiant and irresistibly sensual, it captures the timeless allure of Harrods.
Parfums de Marly Carios
From Les Extraits, the newest Haute Parfumerie collection from Parfums de Marly, Carios channels the grandeur of French luxury through a modern lens. Described by founder Julien Sprecher as “a contemporary fougère… powerful and rule-breaking,” the scent is built around a vibrant clash of red mandarin and thyme, punctuated with spices and grounded by roasted tonka bean. If you want to lead with quiet confidence, make this your new go-to.
Maison Crivelli Oud Cadenza
A masterpiece by perfumer Jordi Fernández, Oud Cadenza is Maison Crivelli’s boldest composition yet – a juxtaposition between all its layers, where saffron and cardamom crescendo into a heart of rich oud and patchouli. Deep and resonant, it’s the kind of scent that exudes warmth without being overwhelming. Available exclusively at Harrods in its 100ml format, this extrait de parfum is one that is sure to turn heads.
Bond No.9 Oud Supreme
Created in collaboration with perfumer Miroslav Petkov, Oud Supreme channels New York’s inimitable energy and style. Bright notes of cassis, Spanish lemon and pink pepper give way to a heart of Turkish rose, geranium and carrot seed, anchored by patchouli, balsam and oud. The result is rich, modern and magnetic – a scent that captures the spirit of the city in every spritz.

Byredo Cuir Obscur
An embodiment of contrasts, Cuir Obscur pairs softness with strength. Opening on a smooth blend of amaretto and nutmeg, the scent reveals a floral heart of rose and ylang-ylang before deepening into a sensual base of leather, patchouli and musk. This is a modern take on classic leather that is endlessly sophisticated, making it perfect for both daytime and evening wear.
Thomas Kosmala Soul of the Sun
Soul of the Sun is golden hour, distilled. An olfactory tribute to light, warmth and radiant energy, this luminous blend contrasts the brightness of citrus and neroli with deeper notes of amber, musk and oud. The result is a fragrance that glows on your skin – addictive and endlessly uplifting.
Creed Millesime 1849
House of Creed often describes its blends as ‘millésime’, translating to ‘great vintage’. The Creed Millésime 1849 eau de parfum, in its matte Harrods green vessel, continues this legacy, boasting a full-bodied aroma that encompasses many olfactory families. Expect Calabrian bergamot to lead each spritz, giving way to a heart of iris as a grounding base of cedar, incense and thyme.
Alexandre-J Sweet Enigma
As its name suggests, Sweet Enigma is a perfume of beautiful contradictions – playful yet profound, gourmand yet refined. This scent layers creamy vanilla and praline with velvety florals and smoky woods, creating a trail that’s both comforting and mysterious. It’s a captivating study in duality, wrapped in Alexandre J’s unmistakable opulence.
Maison Francis Kurkdjian Reflets d’ambre
“Harrods, much like our Maison, is an authentic place of creativity and craftsmanship, driven by the pursuit of excellence,” shares president and co-founder of Maison Francis Kurkdjian, Marc Chaya. As a testimony to these shared values, the fragrance house launched Reflets d’ambre. At the heart of this blend is amber that Kurkdjian builds on with spicy notes of pink pepper, delicate accents of grandiflorum jasmine and enveloping vanilla. In other words, it’s simply transcendental.
Fragrance du Bois Rude Oud
Unapologetically bold, much like its name, Rude Oud brings together the brand’s sustainably sourced oud with notes of leather, spice and amber. Think of it as a creation that reveals oud’s dark side – smoky yet smooth, raw yet refined. It’s a fragrance for those who embrace the art of audacity.
Escentric Molecules H01
Escentric Molecules has been disrupting the world of perfume with an art-meets-chemistry approach to fragrance that favours minimalism. Named H01 Eau de Parfum (a play on Molecule 01 and Harrods), the first exclusive scent for Harrods is equally groundbreaking. “The idea was to create a full-on wearable fragrance with a strong connotation of ingredients which play around with an almost amberesque style structure, full of woods, patchouli, leather, and musks with a hint of sweetness,” says perfumer Geza Schoen.
Jeroboam Your Oudhness
One spritz and you’ll understand why Your Oudhness is a bestseller. It distils the intensity of oud into the house’s signature modern style, where warm spices and smooth woods meet a base of soft musk to create depth without heaviness. The result is rich, refined and effortlessly contemporary – oud with an edge.
What Should You Look for When Selecting an Exclusive Perfume?
Choosing an exclusive perfume is as much about instinct as it is about discovery. These timeless creations often push the boundaries, revealing unexpected blends or rare ingredients that tell a story. As Erwin Creed notes, “perfumes can be incredibly powerful at enhancing how you feel or altering your mood” – a reminder that the right scent should resonate emotionally as much as it delights the senses.
Look for fragrances that evolve on your skin; exclusives are designed with nuance and depth, often blending the finest natural ingredients with innovative synthetics. As master perfumer Alberto Morillas explains, “creating a fragrance is an alchemy – a balance between natural notes and high-tech synthetics that make the composition modern and unique.”

Frequently Asked Questions
At Harrods, an exclusive fragrance is typically created in partnership, in close collaboration, or crafted in limited quantities. Beyond that, it is developed to express something truly distinctive, from its composition and ingredients to its design and story.
Absolutely. While many exclusive fragrances are built around rare or opulent materials, you need not reserve them solely for special occasions. Like any well-crafted scent, its beauty lies in its versatility – whether it’s a soft musk you wear daily or a bold oud you save for the evening.
Keep your fragrance in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight or temperature fluctuations. Avoid storing bottles in bathrooms or near windows, as heat and light can alter the scent over time.
Perfumer Alberto Morillas advises: “Never rub – just let the perfume dry.” Apply fragrance to warm pulse points such as the wrists, neck or behind the ears to help it diffuse more effectively and reveal its true complexity.
