Dior Cinnamon Glaze Holiday Makeup Collection

“For this holiday season’s look, you can be festive, delightful and delicious," says Peter Philips, Creative & Image Director for Dior Makeup. Indeed, the festive season is a time for really enjoying playing with your make-up, and with the Cinnamon Glaze Holiday Collection, the idea is to have fun, and dazzle – just like all the best Christmas celebrations.

“Cinnamon Glaze is a delicious mix of warm spice and honey tones with a sprinkle of sugary cool frostings in textures of matte, sparkling and shine," explains Jamie Coombes, Dior’s international backstage make-up artist: "The Dior Holiday Collection is playful and fun, enriched in colours and textures offering everyone a little bite of Dior Christmas.”

Eagle-eyed Dior fans will spot the Dior Médaillon – the house symbol and decorative element inspired by the 18th-century Rococo-style Dior salons – which has been adorned throughout the collection to mark the occasion. The star of this year’s lip look is the Dior Médaillon in 001 Crystal Pink. Infused with flower extracts for hydration and comfort, the shimmering pink lip balm comes housed in a case in the form of the Dior Médaillon, making it a true collector’s item.

For an ultra-glitter finish on the lips, use the Rouge Dior Sequin Liquid Duo. Choose from the delectably named Biscuit, Sweet Spice, Sweet Nude, Candy Cane or Red Velvet. “When applying, allow the sequins to dry for a minute before pressing the lips gently together to reveal the glitter,” advises Coombes. And if you want to amplify the look, layer with the gloss and applicator for a mirror shimmer effect.

Like something from a delicious fairy tale, the limited-edition Diorshow 5 Couleurs Eyeshadow Palettes are two gorgeous quintets of shimmering spice and all things nice; think warm, spiced shades of gingerbread, golden honey and biscuit brown in 623 Cinnamon Glaze, or the frosted effect of a sugar glaze with cool blue and ultra-pigmented silver in 926 Frosted Delights.

To re-create this doe-eyed look created by Coombes, add the Diorshow Stylo Pearly Brown after eyeshadow and work in-between the lashes to give a more solid look at the base of the lashes from inner to outer corners of the upper lash line. “It makes the eyes look bigger and being a pearly brown doesn’t look harsh.”

This year, the iconic Forever Glow Luminizer is adorned with the iconic Dior Médaillon. The sweet peachy shade has a subtle golden shimmer to add the most gorgeous touch of festive sparkle to your complexion.

For cheeks, Coombes sought to create a “rosy complexion – focusing blush colour on the high point of the cheek.” For that warm, lightly flushed glow reach for Dior Rosy Glow Stick in the scrumptious candy pink hue 873 Pink Delight. Cleverly, the blush-stick adapts to the skin’s pH for a make-up result that is perfectly you.
