Ever since it was introduced by Alfonso Bialetti, the revolutionary eight-sided Moka pot has stood as one of the finest examples of Art Deco and industrial design, simultaneously found in over 90% of Italian homes and the glass display cases of The Smithsonian and Museum of Modern Art as a result. For its collaboration with Bialetti, Dolce&Gabbana set out to give the iconic Italian design an appropriately reverential treatment. Utilising an ingenious electroplating technique, the House swapped in the classic aluminium for striking 24 karat gold, emblazoned with the iconic initials of the two founders alongside the l’Omino con i baffi mascot and signed off with the signature black handles and knob. The fully functional Moka Ora design showcases a unique intersection of Italian industrial design with the country's finest luxury fashion – bringing a truly collectable object into your home.
