On 17th October, beauty expert Kama Ayurveda will lead guests through a personalised beauty ritual designed to illuminate and revitalise the complexion. Rooted in ancient tradition and tailored for the modern day, the experience channels the festive themes of joy, renewal and light, weaving them into everyday routines to leave skin radiant and spirits uplifted.
On 1st October, world-renowned chef Chet Sharma will be joining us for an intimate conversation with chef and presenter, Ravneet Gill, in celebration of the launch of Sharma’s cookbook, BiBi The Cookbook: Stories from my Bibi (Phaidon). Journey with the two through Sharma’s culinary heritage, his Diwali traditions and the process behind creating the book, before a signing session in the Book department.
In celebration of the Festival of Light, Harrods will host a spectacular illumination across the exterior of our iconic Knightsbridge store. On 20th October, vibrant displays of colour and movement will dance across the façade, bringing the spirit of Diwali to life in classic Harrodian style. From 6pm onwards, gather to witness the magic as the lights play every hour, on the hour, transforming the storefront into a radiant canvas of joy, unity and celebration.
Coming soon to patisserie counter in The Food Halls, the specially crafted Diwali Saffron Milk Cake is inspired by traditional Baarfi. Layers of saffron-soaked Victoria sponge are paired with cardamom Chantilly cream and Dulcey pearls. As beautiful as it is delectable, it’s perfect for gatherings, gifting and celebrations throughout this vibrant season.
On 23rd September, 6pm–7pm, join us for an evening of conversation exploring the theme ‘Ancestral Wisdom – The Light Our Grandmothers Lit’. Hosted by Reshma Patel, resident dietician at The Wellness Clinic, the panel will reflect on the rituals, recipes and beauty traditions woven into Diwali. From traditional practices seen through the lens of modern wellness to the secrets behind the Diwali glow, the discussion will conclude with a Q&A session.
